Enduring Love by Ian McEwan - 4 Kisses
The book began with a chapter dedicated to a ballooning accident, which was the catalyst of the story. It was written in a strange way that was similar to watching a dvd, where the narrator looked at the event from every angle, pausing, rewinding and fastforwarding, to cover every aspect. This chapter was a bit of a put off for me, but the rest of the book more than made up for it.

The story actually focuses on the main character getting stalked by a man who claims to love him after meeting him on the day of the accident. I found myself glued to the book, turning the pages to find out what he would do next and how it would all turn out. I felt the main characters frustration and annoyance, which i think is the sign of a well written book.
Overall, i really enjoyed reading the book, although i did have the odd issue with it that i can't state due to spoilers. I thought the writing was great and i enjoyed the intelligent thoughts and conversations that were peppered throughout. I am interested in reading more of his work and possible seeing the movie adaptation of this book.
